The geographical location of Lydia Patterson Institute presents to the Church a continuing strategic opportunity for the preparation of persons from United States, Mexico and Latin American for mission and ministry in an international cross-cultural setting. The institute's mission is, therefore: A - To represent the Christian faith as understood by the United Methodist Church. B - To provide quality Bi-lingual cross-cultural academic education. C - To provide a Center where local church leaders, clergy and lay persons may receive training and experience in effecting Christian witness and ministry with persons of other races and ethic backgrounds.
